WeatherBug offers an exciting approach to engaging high school students in the sciences and science-related career fields. "The lesson plans will not only relate to science, but also geography, language arts and history." "The WeatherBug program is a great addition to our curriculum and I thank Exelon for helping to fund it," said Laura Christie, Earth and Space Science teacher in the Pottstown School District. The live weather data will be accessible to any school in the district to use throughout the day. The WeatherBug Station was mounted to Pottstown High School's roof and translates live weather data to the WeatherBug Web site. "Limerick Generating Station is excited anytime students are given an additional opportunity to learn more about the sciences and enhance their education," said Bill Maguire, Limerick Generating Station site vice president. "We thank Limerick Generating Station for their generous gift that will allow our students to apply their math and science skills as they review information and make weather predictions." Reed Lindley, Pottstown School District superintendent. ![]() #WEATHERBUG FOR SCHOOLS HOW TO#"With the WeatherBug Achieve program, teachers and students in kindergarten through twelfth grade will have access to weather data and be able to learn how to apply it in their daily work," said Dr. Will it be another snowy winter?
